Spiral High Speed Door
With an opening speed of up to 60 inches per second, the Spiral® door offers the speed you need for high-traffic situations. Rigid, aluminum slat construction eliminates any need for a second overnight security door.
Crisp lines give the Spiral door a stylish look that’s great for all kinds of commercial, institutional, as well as industrial applications. Because its anodized aluminum will not corrode, you can count on that look to last for many years under even the worst weather conditions.
Rigid, aluminum slat construction and optional, integral locking system provides unparalleled security.
Opens at up to 60 inches per second for improved traffic flow.
The unique Spiral roll-up design features no metal-to-metal contact, therefore offering whisper-quiet operation.
The variable speed AC Drive system with soft acceleration and braking smooths out routine stops and starts, virtually eliminating the clunking gear engagements you associate with typical overhead door operation.
Door Panel Options
Optional insulation and clear polycarbonate windows available.
Side Frame Options
Optional stainless steel package available.
Electrical Control Options
System 3® controller has programmable inputs and outputs to accommodate special control applications without additional electrical components.
In airlock applications, one controller with various activators permits doors to be interconnected so only one door is open at a time.
Optional powder coating to RAL standard colors.
System 3® Door Controller (Standard)
Incorporating state-of-the-art motion control technology, the System 3 controller combines the flexibility and performance of AC Drive technology with the ease and precision of digital control.
The System 3 door controller is designed to operate with many different types of activators, depending on the application and operating environment.
Floor Induction Loop (Optional)
Activation loops embedded into the concrete on both sides of the doorway substantially reduce operator error in opening and closing doors. With no moving or exposed parts, floor induction loops are extremely reliable.
Motion Detectors (Optional)
Motion detectors operate on microwave technology. They detect pedestrian and vehicle motion in a prescribed area. The detector sends a signal to the controller to open the door.
Presence Sensors (Optional)
Presence sensors detect pedestrians and vehicles in the area of the detector. Motion is not necessary. The sensor signals the controller to open the door.
Radio Controls (Optional)
A radio control consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The vehicle operator activates the transmitter which sends a signal to the receiver. The receiver then signals the controller to open the door.
Push Button (Optional)
The push button is generally used with pedestrian traffic and is typically mounted on the wall near the door. Pedestrians push the button as they approach the door, which signals the door to open.
Pull Cords (Optional)
The pull cords are switches mounted on the ceiling. Pedestrians and vehicle operators pull the cord as they approach the door, signaling the controller to open the door. Vehicle operators generally have to slow down to pull the cord.
Multiple Activators (Optional)
The System 3 door controller permits many activators to be used in multiple combinations. For example, a door can be opened by forklifts through induction floor loops and by pedestrians through a push button, each with independent closing times to allow for pedestrians passing through the door.
Up to 26 feet 3 inches wide by 22 feet 11 inches high.
Double-walled aluminum slats are 6 inches high by 1-9/16 inches thick (thickness varies for other models). Integral rubber weatherseal between each panel. Optional insulation and clear polycarbonate windows.
Galvanized steel side frames with full-height weatherseal on both sides to seal against door panel. Dual electric photo eyes are standard. Optional stainless steel package available.
Up to six extension springs in each side column, depending on the size of the door. The springs assist the motor in opening the door. Mechanical egress lever on side column allows door to be opened in the event of a power failure.
Extruded aluminum bottom bar with control reliable, electric reversing edge.
2 HP, 208V or 230/460 Volt, three-phase motor with variable speed AC Drive which allows for soft acceleration and braking.
Opens at up to 60 inches per second.
AC Drive system with self-diagnostic capability and preprogrammed menu options. Housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure with vision window. Includes cycle counter and 2-digit display. Controller automatically adjusts limit switches.
